Relais & Châteaux, the world’s leading culinary-focused hospitality association, is renowned for its impeccable blend of gourmet experiences, accommodation and service. While many members of the association are based in France, a Taste of Oceania encouraged media and travel trade guests to look a little closer to home for Relais & Châteaux hospitality.

On the third floor of Hyde Park’s Doltone House on Thursday evening, members from Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and French Polynesia presented their unique stories in a grand ballroom setting. From Australia, there were representatives of Jonah’s Restaurant & Boutique Hotel, The Louise & Appellation, Hentley Farm Restaurant (the newest Oceanic member) and qualia. New Zealand was represented through Otahuna Lodge, Huka Lodge, The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs, Matakauri Lodge and The Farm at Cape Kidnappers while Fiji was present through Dolphin Island.

“Relais & Châteaux is pleased to introduce the Association’s members at The Taste of Oceania showcase where the platform will reveal to our valued partners and guests the finest experiences created by internationally-acclaimed hoteliers, chefs and sommeliers that have set the standard for excellence in hospitality,” says Jim Carreker, Owner of The Louise and the Relais & Chateaux Delegate for Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands.

The Sydney event followed from the success of the Melbourne showcase on Wednesday 29 April. Guests were treated to Doltone House’s delicious canapes as they discovered the varied experiences each property has to offer.
