A group of Australian PNG Specialist travel agents has recently returned from an enthralling famil to Papua New Guinea, taking in Port Moresby and Tufi, in the Oro Province. The group of six won their place on the trip, after achieving 100 per cent on Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority (PNGTPA)’s online agent training and logging at least one booking to PNG.

After getting familiar with some of Port Moresby’s best hotels, the group headed to Tufi Resort to experience some of the natural beauty and rich culture for which PNG is famous.

Highlights of the famil, which, ran from 2 to 8 June 2015, included taking a traditional outrigger canoe into a local village, deep within a volcanically created fjord, snorkelling on the reefs just off Tufi Resort, meeting locals and learning the art of traditional tattoos, fire making and how to make ‘sago’.

Industry members interested in learning more about PNG, can complete the second phase of the online training at www.pngspecialists.com.au.
