Capella Lodge joins the ranks of National Geographic

Lord Howe Island’s luxurious Capella Lodge has joined National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World, a prestigious collection of boutique hotels in remarkable destinations around the globe.

The Australian luxury lodge is among 14 newly announced additions to the Unique Lodges worldwide portfolio, which already includes fellow Baillie Lodges properties Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island and Longitude 131° at Uluru.

Each lodge has been chosen by National Geographic for its commitment to authenticity, excellence and sustainability, while offering outstanding guest experiences that support the protection of cultural and natural heritage.

The latest additions bring the Unique Lodges portfolio to a total of 38 distinguished properties on six continents. Launched in January with 24 charter members, the properties in the Unique Lodges collection offer a host of authentic and responsible travel experiences.

Capella Lodge will offer a special “National Geographic Exclusive” experience to guests who book their stay through National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World, providing sunset drinks and canapés served by a personal waiter at Lovers Bay – the most romantic beach on the island, just footsteps from the lodge.
