On 13 August 2015, Starwood Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of the new Sheraton Ufa Hotel, located near the southern stretch of the Ural Mountains in Russia. Partnered with developer Granelle Real Estate LLC, they bring the first Sheraton to the region; as part of Starwood’s commitment to open more than 150 new hotels by 2020.

Continuing the growth of this iconic brand, the nine-floor Sheraton Ufa Hotel, designed by Christian Lundwall, boasts 150 sophisticated guest rooms, 11 luxury suites, sumptuous décor, high-speed internet, a range of leisure facilities and close proximity to cultural interests such as the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre.

An ideal choice for meetings and events, Sheraton Ufa appeals to business travellers, with close proximity to key government institutions, banks, multinational corporations, Congress Hall, more than 9,500 square feet of function space, 13 meeting rooms, audio-visual technology and an events team all on offer.

Only a 25-minute drive from Ufa International Airport, and with Ufa Railway Station, the property has connections to all parts of Russia and international connections to countries across Europe and the Middle East.

Starwood currently has seven hotels in Russia and the Sheraton Ufa Hotel is the third Sheraton hotel in the country. The company will double its footprint in Russia over the next three years.
