The European Union and CNIEL have launched a new campaign in Asia labelled ‘Cream of Europe 2015-2017’ championing the quality, technique and usage of European cream. The campaign will give Hong Kongers, budding chefs and gourmands a chance to learn about the variety of European methods and techniques used to complement and complete pastries.Marike Van Beurden – head of Marike van Beurden Consulting ltd, ambassador for Ravifruit, and acknowledged as 2015 Best Hong Kong Pastry Chef by Tatler Hong Kong – and former three-star Michelin Chef Bruno Mernard, culinary consultant for Bruno Menard Pte. Ltd. In Singapore, will share their expertise and experience and invite Hong Kong locals with a sweet-tooth to taste the difference.Chef Van Beurden and Chef Mernard will host a series of events and training workshops for trade and pastry students to share their knowledge and educate the younger generation on the benefits of choosing European cream for cakes, pastries and desserts from the 8 to 10 September.
