Leading the team within Sofitel Brisbane Central’s patisserie is newly appointed Pastry Chef, Joel Helot.Chef Helot joins the hotel from the Gold Coast’s Palazzo Versace where he had worked as Pastry Chef since May 2014. Prior to this, Normandy born Helot was Head Pastry Chef at RACV Royal Pines Resort in the Gold Coast.Guests have the exclusive opportunity to learn pastry secrets from Joel first hand, with the hotel’s first Pastry Masterclass to be held on 7 November 2015. Classes start from $130pp and will teach dessert enthusiasts key recipes as well as tips to master the art of cake decoration, finished off with Sofitel’s signature high tea. Guests will also receive a recipe and gift to take home.
