The Royal Suite at Melbourne’s Hotel Windsor has been voted ‘Australia’s Leading Hotel Suite’ at the 2015 World Travel Awards.The Royal Suite is a reflection of Victorian elegance, with the spacious apartment featuring a dining room, drawing room, guest powder room, master bedroom and a marble bathroom with a deep claw-foot bath.The World Travel Awards are presented across three tiers: country, regional and world. As the Australia’s Leading Hotel Suite the Royal Suite is now in contention for the regional awards, where if it wins it will compete for the world award. In the past the world round has been won by iconic international hotel including Raffles, Peninsula, the Ritz, Waldorf Astoria, and the Plaza.Director of The Hotel Windsor, Adi Halim, is delighted to see the hotel celebrated and awarded by its peers at the World Travel Awards.“We are honoured to have been presented this award and see it as testament to the team at the hotel who make every guest’s visit exceptional.“To have received this recognition on the eve of our planned closure for renovations in June 2016 is truly wonderful and something we will to aspire to again in the future,” says Mr Halim.The 2015 Asia and Australasia Gala Ceremony will be held at the InterContinental Grand Stanford Honk Kong in October.
