British Airways is extending the option for customers in First, Club World (business class) and World Traveller Plus (premium economy) to pre-order their main meal to an additional 5 routes. This complimentary pre-order service is now available from Heathrow to Beirut, Cairo, Baku, Tel Aviv and Amman, as well as on all long-haul flights.

This is the latest in a number of changes to catering offered on board British Airways flights. In the last year the airline has also introduced the option for customers travelling in the World Traveller (economy cabin) to purchase 1 of 6 meals in advance as an alternative to the normal menu on board. The selection of ‘Gourmet Dining’, ‘Taste of Britain’, ‘Great British Breakfast’, ‘Healthy Choice’, ‘Vegetarian Kitchen’ and ‘Taste of the East’ have all been designed to combine current food trends and good quality ingredients.Colin Talbot, British Airways’ head of catering, said: “We know how important food is to customers when they fly. It forms a significant part of the service and experience and we want to make sure our customers really enjoy the meals they’re served. These two options that we’ve introduced in the past year allow them to select their meals and look forward to their choice.”
