Butterfield & Robinson has announced the launch of our luxurious new Mekong Grand Journey spanning Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, and combining amazing routes and exclusive access with the utmost luxury.
With B&R’s decades of local knowledge, travellers will go deep into the incredible Angkor Wat and UNESCO-protected Luang Prabang, while staying in two of the most remarkable hotel properties in all of Asia: the elegant Amantaka in Luang Prabang and Siem Reap’s Amansara, the former summer home of King Sihanouk. Next, they will float along the Mekong for three nights from Cambodia into Vietnam on the Aqua Mekong, a floating five-star hotel.In between, travellers will participate in a traditional Lao Baci well-wishing ceremony, indulge in a traditional Khmer meal overlooking the 12th century temple of Angkor, cycle along the trails lined by a jungle of silk cotton, and enjoy countless special encounters that only come from exploring a place on two feet and two wheels.
