Travelmarvel reveals new Douro and Russia river cruising for 2017

Travelmarvel has revealed it will soon expand its river cruise destinations to include the Douro in Portugal and Russia’s lakes and waterways.The cruises will feature in Travelmarvel’s new Europe River Cruising 2017 brochure, set to launch soon.Commenting, Travelmarvel General Manager David Cox said, “We’re seeing increased demand for these destinations amongst our guests so we have responded with an exciting portfolio of journeys that offer comprehensive inclusions, balanced with plenty of free time to explore at your own pace. We are inviting our travel industry partners to pre-register to ensure their clients are amongst the first to find out more about what we’re offering.”Travelmarvel’s Douro river cruising portfolio comprises three cruise and land combinations, all of which cover both Portugal and Spain.Ranging from eight days to 21 days, the Douro river cruises will set sail aboard the newly refurbished ms Douro Queen.Offering an intimate experience for just 130 guests, the ship features a pool on the sundeck, a lounge bar offering panoramic river views and a choice of suites. Travelmarvel guests will enjoy Portuguese and international cuisine, complementary beer wine and soft drinks served with lunch and dinner and evening entertainment.Travelmarvel’s Insider Experiences for this destination include an onboard Portuguese lesson; a sunset sailing accompanied by the soulful sounds of Fado performers; and a delicious dinner at a local Quinta.Lead in itinerary is the Eight-Day Douro Discovery. It offers a range of comprehensive inclusions and Travelmarvel is operating two dates on this departure, which is priced from $3795 per person twin share. Travelmarvel will be offering a ‘2 for 1’ economy return flight deal with Singapore Airlines or another airlines of its choosing.In Russia Travelmarvel is offering cruises aboard the ms Surikov. The new 11-day Treasures of Russia Cruise is priced from $4795 per person, twin share and sails from St Petersburg to Moscow via Lake Lagoda, Lake Onega, White Lake, the Volga River and the Moscow Canal, guests will experience an in depth discovery of Russian history and culture. Guests who book early will qualify for a Fly Free deal, again offering free return economy flights with Singapore Airlines or an airline of Travelmarvel’s choosing.Also available soon is a 14-day Treasures of Russia with Helsinki. For those wishing to immerse themselves further in Eastern Europe, Travelmarvel will also offer an immersive land and cruise journey that covers Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland and Russia.
