With June set to be a wash-out British Airways has launched its summer sale offering huge discounts on thousands of seats to destinations worldwide from Heathrow, Gatwick and London City.The sale, which ends at midnight on 12 July, includes flights and holidays to Dubai, New York, Barbados and Abu Dhabi, as well as the airline’s new direct routes to Muscat and Doha. Sara Dunham, British Airways’ head marketing, retail and direct, said: “With forecasters predicting that this month is set to be the wettest June on record we wanted to launch one of our biggest sales of the year to give Brits the chance to escape the miserable weather and jet off to sunnier climes.”Travellers craving the heat can get away to Middle Eastern hotspots such as Dubai, Muscat, Abu Dhabi and Doha from £349 return or live the life of luxury in the Caribbean with flight and hotel offers to Barbados and Punta Cana starting from £499 per person. Holiday packages to Cancun and Las Vegas start from £599 and £729 respectively and return flights to European destinations including Bologna, Zurich and Milan start from £84 per person.
