The Arizona Office of Tourism has released its list of the newest resorts, hotels and spas across the Greater Phoenix and Central Arizona region. They include:Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Spa The Hyatt Hotels-affiliated property in Paradise Valley is currently accepting bookings for stays from 15 November 2016 onwards. The resort will include 201 guest rooms and suites, ranging in size from 32 to 46 square metres configured in bungalow-style clusters of six units each; private terraces, including some with outdoor showers; a large pool and sundeck with a luxurious 1114-square-metre spa facility and a fitness centre; and more than 1800 square metres of indoor and outdoor meeting and event facilities. The resort will be designed in the “1950s desert art” style, drawing inspiration from designers like Frank Lloyd Wright. The Fairmont Scottsdale PrincessThe Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, a AAA Five Diamond Southwest resort, has opened an additional 102 new guest rooms for a total of 750. This expansion also includes three luxury suites, a new pool, Great Lawn and new Western town event venue.New Mountain Shadows ResortPlans have been announced for the rebuilding of the historic Mountain Shadows Resort, one of the first resorts in the Paradise Valley area. Construction began in 2015, with a projected opening in early 2017. The boutique luxury resort will feature 175 modern guest rooms in two buildings, an adjacent building with 31 hotel-condominium units, a neighbourhood restaurant and market, high-tech fitness facility and the rehabilitated Mountain Shadows Golf Course featuring 18 executive-style holes.Sedona Rouge Hotel & SpaThe Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa has completed a 32-room expansion project. The style influences from Spain are reflected in the handcarved furnishings, dramatic carved beams, brushed metal textures and modern flooring design. Spacious showers with rainfall shower heads trickling on the mosaic tile will leave you refreshed, relaxed and ready to crawl back into bed or hit the trails of Sedona.
