Luxury travel company Abercrombie & Kent is inspiring travellers with some early Christmas cheer on its privately tailored journey to some of Europe’s most famous Christmas markets.A&K’s seven-day Berlin, Dresden and Prague Christmas Markets tour starts in Berlin which has in excess of 50 Christmas markets, some which are magical and traditional and others more hip and happening. A&K’s favourites include the Weihnachts Zauber on Gendarmenmarkt, the elaborately decorated Breitscheidplatz and Potsdamer Platz which comes alive with a winter wonderland of lights, music, handicraft and food stalls and a festive ice rink to get you in the spirit.Driving with A&K from Berlin to Prague, a stop is made en route in the Baroque city of Dresden where Germany’s oldest Christmas market, Striezelmarkt, is found. There’s plenty of time to wander through the bustling marketplace and taste traditional Saxon treats with the aroma of mulled wine and Christmas music in the background. In Prague, the Old Town Square plays host to a festive market of brightly decorated wooden huts, selling Czech handicrafts, hot food and warm drinks and at 5pm every evening the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree come to life.Even better, an A&K Guardian Angel is on hand throughout to help navigate the profusion of stalls so shoppers can find that perfect Christmas gift or ornament. As well as visiting the festive Christmas markets, A&K includes city touring with a private guide, luxury accommodation at the elegant Hotel De Rome in Berlin and Aria Hotel Prague, stylish transport between the cities and A&K’s signature Guardian Angel service.PricesTwin share per person: from $5775 Solo traveller: from $10,905 Valid for travel 1 November to 13 December 2016.
