The perfect antidote to dark mornings and frosty weather, The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire has created the Warming Winter Glow Body Therapy – an indulgent treatment designed to restore the skin’s natural glow during the cold winter months.

Detoxifying and moisturising the skin while easing the mind and relieving stress during what is often a busy social season, the body therapy incorporates fragrant, seasonal spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves, alongside a range of antioxidant ingredients such as orange and dark chocolate, which stimulate circulation and hydrate skin.

Ideal for banishing the winter blues, the warming 90-minute spa ritual begins with gentle brushing of the body, softening and reviving dull, dry skin. A 20-minute body exfoliation follows, combining apple, brown sugar, coconut oil and a variety of spices, encouraging removal of dead skin cells and impurities, aiding new skin growth and providing a healthy, vibrant glow. A 10-minute steam session then preps the pores, cleanses and detoxifies the skin, improving circulation and alleviating congestion. Guests can then choose from a 60-minute decadent chocolate and orange zest body wrap or a relaxing vanilla candle massage to follow.

For those choosing the heated wrap, expect to be enveloped in a cocoon of warmth filled with dark chocolate mud, orange zest, champagne and honey. The cosy wrap will detoxify and lift the skin, achieving a firmer feel, and leaving skin silky and smooth. The therapy concludes with a warm shower and gentle application of body butter.

The relaxing candle massage moisturises the skin and stimulates the senses, easing tension and calming the mind. The candle wax melts into a sumptuous, warm massage oil that is drizzled over the skin and massaged in with gentle, soothing massage strokes, leaving skin lightly scented.

Guests are welcome to enjoy a glass of non-alcoholic mulled wine after their treatment. The Warming Winter Glow Body Therapy is also available to enjoy as a couples’ experience.

The Warming Winter Glow is available until 28 February 2017, from Monday to Thursday at GBP 200 per person, and Friday to Sunday at GBP 210 per person.
