Scenic has launched its 2017/2018 South East Asia River Cruising programme which includes a number of new Freechoice activities and Freechoice Dining options.

Guests cruising the Mekong can now enjoy two new Freechoice activities in Siem Reap: a tethered balloon ride to experience spectacular aerial views over Angkor Wat, and for the more adventurous, a vintage Vespa tour off the beaten track. In Kampong Cham, new activities include a local folklore tour with a visit to Phnom Pros, and a tour of the eco village Cheung Kok which is being supported by a French NGO to develop a community based eco-tourism project. In Champasak, Scenic is offering a coffee plantation visit to the Boloven Plateau, known as the ‘Champagne of coffee’.

Scenic Freechoice Dining options now include Square One at Park Hyatt Saigon and a Vespa foodie tour of Saigon by night, as well as the Cargo Club in Hoi An.

Adam Burke, Journey Designer Asia, commented: “The changes in the 2017/2018 program provide our guests with more opportunities to discover the fascinating destinations they are visiting throughout Indochina plus more free time on board to enjoy the luxury facilities of Scenic Spirit. The highlights for the Mekong River cruise remain attending Phare Circus, and an Angkor temple dinner in Siem Reap.”

Scenic is offering fantastic earlybird offers on bookings made by 30 April 2017. Guests can fly free on any journey to Indochina for 13 days or longer, or to Myanmar for 14 days or longer – saving up to $2980 per couple. Book either the eight-day Luxury Mekong or 11-day Luxury Irrawaddy river cruises and save up to $500 per couple. Plus fly business class from $3495 per person.
