RoundAbout Travel, the independent Australian-based travel company specialising in round-the-world airfares, will now also specialise in business class airfares under its new brand, Flat Beds. Director Mark Trim celebrated the launch in Sydney with a cocktail event at Ivy Penthouse, inviting VIP clients and select media, including LATTE, to learn more about the new service.

Flat Beds offers a point-to-point booking service for value-driven business class airfares. Its tagline, ‘Real fares, real service’, refers to the genuine value that Trim and his team of 15 can offer, rather than a growing trend of onselling mileage flights.

The new brand now sits within a stable of four brands alongside RoundAbout Travel, QFlyer for maximising Qantas Frequent Flyer status credits, and RoundAbout Concierge, to cater for customers seeking to do tours and/or cruises. Thanks to its experience with round-the-world airfares, the RoundAbout Travel team has gained renown as experts at complex airfares. As a part of the RoundAbout Travel group, Flat Beds is AFTA and ATAS accredited, and is a member of the Independent Travel Group, offering ‘Book Safe’ insurance.

Also present at the launch were the group’s airline sponsors, including the Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, Austrian and SWISS), Finnair and Qatar Airways, each sharing new developments including routes and aircraft.
