On the island of Pulau Tiga off the west coast of Sabah, Borneo Eagle Resort is scheduled to open in early 2018.It was Pulau Tiga’s landscape and natural environment that attracted the CBS TV Network to choose the island as the main location for its inaugural episode of ‘Survivor’, dubbing it the ‘Survivor Island’. Local, organic fish and vegetables from the resort owner’s farms on the mainland of Sabah will feature on the menu, as well as fresh seasonal produce with the emphasis on creating menus for the individual guest.ExperiencesThe resort will offer a range of activities catering to guests who seek adventure as well as those who prefer to relax: jungle trekking, snorkelling, scuba diving, bird watching and in-villa spa treatments.AccommodationsBorneo Eagle Resort features 15 one-bedroom oceanfront villas. Ranging from 1848 square feet to 3096 square feet, each villa sits on grounds with a separate living/dining ​room, master bedroom; some with a plunge pool and individual spa treatment room. All offer views of the South China Sea.
