Nordurflug Helicopter Tours will begin offering itineraries across Iceland’s stunning landscapes aboard a new Airbus EC130 chopper when it takes possession of the new aircraft.The EC130 B4 helicopter is one of the most popular air-touring helicopters in use globally, designed specifically for sightseeing tours in Hawaii. Accommodating up to six passengers, the helicopter provides 180-degree views, with the back row elevated to see above the front seats.Nordurflug Helicopter Tours will take delivery of the EC130 B4 next month, with marketing manager Eva Eiriksdottir telling LATTE the company will deploy the aircraft across its range of projects and tours.Options include the Reykjavik Summit, Geothermal Tour, Waterfalls and Valleys, Countless Craters and Glacier Landing. Itineraries vary in length from 20 minutes to 2 hours.“We fly all over Iceland so our passengers can see craters, mountains, glaciers, volcanoes, waterfalls … you name it,” Eiriksdottir said.Travel agents booking with Nordurflug Helicopter Tours receive 15% commission.
