Crystal Cruises has released a sneak peek behind the scenes of Crystal Serenity‘s overhaul, having just passed the mid-way point of its most extensive dry dock ever at the Lloyd Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany.“Wet units” for the new Seabreeze Penthouses and Seabreeze Penthouse Suites were previewed in a short video featuring Crystal Cruises CEO, Tom Wolber.“I can’t be more pleased than with the work that is going on. With the amount of areas that we are touching, the size of some of the rehabs – such as here at Palm Court – that we are tackling, we are spot-on with our schedule and the work is looking fantastic,” Wolber remarked. In total, 36 new Seabreeze Penthouses and two Seabreeze Penthouse Suites will debut when Crystal Serenity emerges from her redesign. The transformation will effectively reduce the ship’s capacity to 980 guests, while the number of service crew on board will remain the same. While it’s difficult to imagine with the current flurry of construction activity on board, the new suites will be elegant enclaves of style and relaxation – and personal butler service – in just a couple of weeks. Spa-like bathrooms, plush linens, private verandahs, walk-in closets and an ever-changing view on the horizon are all in store.Meanwhile, Crystal Cruises is showcasing additional artist impressions of Crystal Serenity‘s revamp, in addition to the Stardust Supper Club, Waterside Restaurant and Silk Kitchen & Bar which featured on LATTE‘s website last week. The latest addition to the gallery is of the Crystal Serenity University (pictured below).Below are other recently released renderings of the evolution of Crystal Serenity.
