Eighty of Australia’s most influential travel trade and media gathered at The Barber Shop in Sydney’s CBD on Wednesday, 21 November 2018 night for a celebration of an exceptional year for One&Only Resorts.Hosted by James Wyndham, General Manager of Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley, and Anna Guillan, One&Only Resort’s Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, guests were treated to a preview of an exciting new project, 1832 Wolgan Gin, and enjoyed cocktails including the Wolgan Martini and ‘The One & Only’, mixed with St Germain Elderflower, yuzu and French oak tincture. The 1832 Wolgan Gin, which takes its name from the 1832 early settler heritage of Wolgan Valley, will be officially launched at the One&Only Resorts showcase at ILTM in Cannes on 3 December. Crafted in collaboration with The Barber Shop’s Mikey Enright and Ian Glen of Stone Pine Distillery in Bathurst, both of whom were in attendance at last night’s celebration, 1832 Wolgan Gin is distilled with purified water from the pristine Carne Creek, which flows through Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley, and is infused with lemon-scented tea tree from the nature reserve.“We are thrilled to be able to celebrate a stellar year for One&Only Resorts with our partners and supporters,” Wyndham said. “It is also a wonderful opportunity to share a sneak preview of an exciting new project, 1832 Wolgan Gin, which reflects our passion at Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley to showcase seasonal local produce and the best of the region’s natural flavours. And of course, it was also a wonderful opportunity for our guests to enjoy a few of Mikey Enright’s exceptional gin cocktails!”Lead image: Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley General Manager James Wyndham.
