Delegates at last week’s PCO Association Conference in Melbourne teamed up to get New Zealand on the map at the 100% Pure New Zealand hub.“We did it,” says Sharon Auld, Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) Australia Manager. Hannah Pickford from ASN Events connected the final dot, and she was gifted a special Aroha candle, poured under a full moon and blessed with a Karakia (a Māori prayer).New Zealand’s largest-ever delegation of 19 suppliers was exhibiting in front of a new four-metre-high image and on a new stand, designed by Outstanding Displays at this year’s PCOA conference.“Delegates told us they loved receiving our Manaakitanga – warm hospitality. They enjoyed New Zealand produce including Cloudy Bay wines, Antipodes water and fish and chips. It was hard to miss the Kiwi team. Throughout the two-day event we roved around the show floor with chocolate fish and Bluebird Kiwi Onion Dip chips served on a woven flax basket,” she says.Photo credit: Nigel Welch, Pulse Photography
