Eurostar marked the introduction of a third daily service between London and Amsterdam on 12 June, ahead of the opening Van Gogh’s sunflower exhibition in the Dutch city on 21 June.

The new service #9126 departs London at 11:04am and arrives into Amsterdam at 4:11pm. The return service #9145 sets off at 1:46pm and arrives in Brussels at 3:35pm where passengers exit the train to pass through security and passport control before connecting to another Eurostar service.

Since its launch in April 2018, over 300,000 passengers have travelled on Eurostar’s new route from London to Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Fares start at £35 one-way, with journey times from just 3hrs 13mins to Rotterdam and 3hrs 52mins to Amsterdam bound for London.

A high-speed rail journey from London to Amsterdam emits 80% less carbon per passenger than the equivalent flight, reinforcing high-speed rail as the most environmentally friendly choice for European short haul travel.

Inspired by the iconic Dutch masterpiece, celebrity costume-designer, Kate Tabor, has created the dress to celebrate the “Van Gogh and the Sunflowers” exhibition, which runs from 21 June – 1 September at the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam.
