Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation has unveiled plans for a new SpaceJet family aircraft that has the widest and tallest cabin in its class. Dubbed the SpaceJet M100, the aircraft will boast the “roomiest economy seat and the most overhead bin capacity”.Targeting the regional air market, the M100 will enable all passengers to take one roller carry-on bag, eliminating the need for gate-check, Mitsubishi said. Its cabin will feature the latest technologies and amenities, both improving passenger experience and creating more opportunity for ancillary revenue generation for airlines.Formal launch of the SpaceJet M100 program is expected later this year.
