Luxury African safari lodge and reserve operator, Singita, hosted a group of Australian travel advisor partners on an East Africa educational in October.Their itinerary was designed around what Singita believe is the perfect guest combination through East Africa, where guests experience the magic of gorilla trekking and the teeming plains of the Serengeti, all with Singita.
The familiarisation gave attendees a first-hand taste of Singita’s luxury lodging, including visits to the company’s latest asset, Kwitonda Lodge and Kataza House in Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda. Leading the trip was David Labuschagne, Singita’s head of sales in Africa.Over eight days, the advisors also explored Singita’s properties in Tanzania, including Singita Faru Faru Lodge, Singita Sabora Tented Camp, Singita Sasakwa Lodge and Singita Mara River Tented Camp.

Some of the highlights of the trip were the breathtaking views from Singita Kwitonda and Kataza House in Rwanda, Gorilla trekking, witnessing the great migration while visiting Singita Grumeti, a Leopard up a tree on a kill and viewing lions and buffalo gathered together at a water hole at Singita Sabora Tented Camp.

Participants included Sarah Dimopoulos, Forth & Wonder; Kelly Gelfand, Travel Call; Amy Raats, Travel Associates; Jeffrey Shewell, The Classic Safari Company; Cetina Illies, Chrisakis Turner and Evelyn Mehrengs from Jigsaw Travel.
