Portugal’s largest hotel and leisure chain, Pestana Hotel Group has opened its second property in the United States and its 100th property globally: Pestana Park Avenue in New York City.Located in Manhattan’s Midtown East on 39th Street between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue, the newly built Pestana Park Avenue is a boutique hotel positioned next to the Empire State Building. It is a short walk to Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
The 28-storey hotel sits under the Pestana Hotels & Resorts portfolio and features 95 rooms and suites, with a maximum of three on each level. Rooms feature bespoke interiors and large windows. Some will have balconies and views of the Empire State Building.The bulk of Pestana Group’s properties are within its home country, spread over brands including Pestana Hotels & Resorts, Pestana Collection, Pestana Residences and others.The group’s other US-based property is the Pestana Miami South Beach.
