Pandaw has revealed details of a new program on the Brahmaputra through Northern India operating from the Assami city of Guwahati aboard the dual deck, shallow draft RV Kindat Pandaw.Launching on 31 October 2021, The Mighty Brahmaputra River seven-night voyage is available to book through until early May 2022.The voyage departs upstream, making ports calls in Tezpur to visit the temple of De Parbatia and explorations of Nameri National Park, which includes a float trip on the Jia-Bhoreli River for birdwatching and the chance to spot wild Indian elephants, and the UNESCO World Heritage Kaziranga National Park for a jeep safari – home to the Indian one-horned rhino, the Indian wild water buffalo and royal Bengal tiger.On the downstream journey, guests will visit a tea estate, a historic plantation house and observe the production of silk.RV Kindat Pandaw accommodates 36 guests – 10 cabins on the main deck and eight on the upper deck.Pre- and post-cruise extensions are available in Kolkata and Delhi & Taj Mahal, and there are options to combine the Brahmaputra with Pandaw’s Lower Ganges cruise to make a 14-day combo expedition.There are over 20 departures listed online, currently priced from AU$4,520.54 per person twin share, including six dates with no single supplement.More details at https://www.pandaw.com/expeditions/the-brahmaputra-river-cruiseLead image: RV Kindat Pandaw
