Cruising the seven seas may still seem some way off, so here’s a teaser of what guests will be able to experience aboard Silversea Cruises‘ first-ever destination-specific ship, Silver Origin. To be based in the Galapagos, the all-suite Silver Origin has a capacity of just 100-guests and features Horizon Balconies, butler service, sophisticated interiors, interactive basecamp, Ecuadorian inspired cuisine at its two restaurants, and the highest crew-to-guest ratio in the archipelago.Onboard guests will have access to the indoor Observation Lounge and outdoor Explorer Lounge, a Beauty Salon, Beauty Spa and Fitness Centre. The most environmentally conscious ship Silversea has constructed, Silver Origin will be one of only two ships sailing in the Galapagos to feature dynamic positioning – meaning there is no anchor to damage the delicate ecosystem of the sea bed.The ultra-luxury ship was delivered to Silversea in June 2020 and was initially earmarked to commence service in August, however the pandemic continues to place a hold on Silver Origin‘s service entry, currently flagged to commence sailing on 1 May, 2021.Learn more on the ship and its itineraries at silversea.com/ships/silver-origin.html
