Capella Hotel Group’s new elevated lifestyle brand, Patina Hotels & Resorts, has this week opened its launch property in the Maldives.The highly-anticipated Patina Maldives is set in the Fari Islands archipelago in the North Male Atoll of the Maldives and comprises 90 beach and overwater villas across nine categories. Designed by Brazillian architect Marcio Kogan from Studio MK27, they range from the One Bedroom Beach Pool Villas to the three-bedroom Beach House, complete with a rooftop terrace and gardens. Additionally, there are 20 Fari Studios in a private sanctuary.
Patina Maldives will have 12 restaurant options available, ranging from a plant-based concept to the Maldives’ first and only Greek outlet. Brick and mortar eateries will be complemented by a series of food trucks dotted around the island.The property was initially earmarked to open towards the end of 2020 however postponed its debut due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
