PONANT has appointed Australian media personality Andrew Daddo as its first brand ambassador for Australasia. In celebration of the appointment, a documentary ‘Beyond the Polar Circle’ showcasing Daddo’s once-in-a-lifetime experience sailing onboard PONANT’s Le Boréal to Antarctica will debut via PONANT’s website from 30 September 2021.

Daddo chronicles his thoughts, capturing the moments of anticipation and sheer awe, sharing with viewers his emotions as he discovers the magic of the most remote, majestic destination in the world.A host of Channel Seven’s former long-running travel show, The Great Outdoors, and a popular face in Australia’s entertainment industry, Daddo has a particular affiliation with adventure travel. As a presenter, author and broadcaster, he is well-known through television, radio and podcasting and has recently ventured into documentary filmmaking with the PONANT Antarctic expedition his first co-production.Sarina Bratton, PONANT Chairman Asia Pacific, said Andrew Daddo’s approach to travel and his engaging and laconic style of commentary, aligns perfectly for the ultra-luxury French cruise line in Australasia.
