Island Escape Cruises has introduced a new 8-day Christmas Holiday Voyage, running between New Zealand’s North and South islands aboard Island Escape.

Island Escape Cruises 2021 Christmas ItineraryDeparting on 19 December 2021 from Auckland, the expedition will include Christmas Day at Awaroa Bay, Abel Tasman National Park where guests will enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach and a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings back on board, before concluding in Nelson in the Tasman Bay.Other ports visited on itinerary include Mount Maunganui, Gisborne, Napier, Wellington, D’Urville Island, Awaroa Bay – Abel Tasman National Park.All 17 seventeen suites on three-deck Island Escape are designed by Tillberg Design of Sweden and offer ocean views. The vessel has a capacity of 32 guests and 14 crew.The Christmas cruise is priced from NZ$8,950 per person twin share.Island Escape Cruises’ previously flagged 2021 Great Barrier Reef voyages between Cairns and Brisbane planned for mid-October no longer appear on the Kiwi company’s website or in the latest version of its online brochure.Last month, Island Escape also shelved its inaugural Kimberley program for 2021 due to the border situation in Australia making it “impossible to operate,” CEO Erik Helseth told LATTE.
