Cathay Pacific has revamped its Economy class fares, giving Australia and New Zealand customers greater choice and flexibility when booking flights.The Hong Kong-based carrier is now offering Light, Essential and Flex fares, offering increasingly more control and greater benefits, from enhanced baggage allowances to flexible rebooking and upgrade options.
‘Light’ fares enable customers to enjoy great value when they are travelling with minimal possessions ‒ perfect for those jetting off for a weekend getaway.‘Essential’ fares offer a balance of everything customers need, such as extra luggage and seat pre-selection, making them great for those travelling with family or heading off on a longer trip.‘Flex’ fares give customers complete flexibility for their next business trip or holiday, with full control over their travel plans for maximum convenience and protection.
Optional fare add-ons such as advance seat-selection, extra legroom seats and pre-paid luggage will still be available to purchase on top of the cost of each fare type.Once an Economy fare is ticketed passengers do have the ability to upgrade to the next fare type. A change fee may apply. Ticketed Economy fares cannot be altered to a lower fare type.Cathay Pacific says its Premium Economy, Business and First class fares remain unchanged.Australian and New Zealand customers can now purchase the redesigned Economy fares directly through the Cathay Pacific website.
