Silversea Cruises welcomed a contingent of travel advisors from Australia to the official naming of Silver Dawn last week in Lisbon, Portugal.Commenting on the occasion, Adam Radwanski, Silversea’s Managing Director, Asia Pacific said the luxury cruise line was thrilled to welcome Australian industry veterans onboard as Australia begins to welcome international cruise lines to its shores from this month.

“It has been a memorable way to mark this moment – one we have all been eagerly waiting for” Radwanski, remarked on the gala which saw Nilou Motamed christen the 10th ship in the Silversea fleet.Those Australian agents in attendance included John Williams, Our Vacation Centre; Gareth Evison, Imagine Cruising; Brett and Louise Dann, Hunter Travel Group; Aaron Collins, Andrew Jones Travel; Laurice Burke, helloworld Eatons Hill and Kenmore; and Roland Howlett, Frontier Travel.
Steve Richards, Director of Sales, Australia & New Zealand said, “Silversea has worked intimately with trade partners throughout this difficult time and the reciprocity of this relationship has upheld not only the survival of our industry, but also the integrity of Silversea.“To come together on this occasion with those who worked so hard to finally see this day was a profound moment for all who attended. The celebration was a way to thank them all for their continued support.”Silver Dawn departed on her inaugural voyage on 1 April on a voyage to Barcelona.
