Paros has recently found a balance between traditional, and luxury – which travellers are craving in equal measure post COVID. The island is the perfect addition or alternative to the popular and more crowded Greek islands like Mykonos and Santorini. The one place on the island not to miss is the fishing town of Naousa – the jewel of Paros – it typifies this new Paros with its welcome mix of traditional Greek with the contemporary through it’s offering of luxury hotels and great food scene. The whitewashed harbour town is the cosmopolitan heart of Paros – ideal for upscale shopping and eclectic dining, as well as mingling with locals and their enthusing nightlife.Located in Naousa and opened in July this year, the place to stay on Paros in 2023 is Cosme, a Luxury Collection Resort. With the clear-blue Aegean water at its feet, beachfront Cosme, embraces the energy of the sea and reciprocates the joyful pulse of the town. The 40 suites range in size from 35 to 60 sqm and weave a story of Paros, balancing the island’s blues and whites jeweled with artworks by local artists and eclectic treasures of the kind brought by merchant travellers.Celebrated Greek chef Yiannis Kioroglou will be leading the culinary journey at Cosme bringing his passion for “Medite-grecian” cuisine to the hotel’s stunning beachfront Parostia Restaurant and the laidback serene Volta Restaurant. Private beachfront dining is also available. In addition to two restaurants, Cosme also has a Bar adjacent to the pool, Wellness centre and Fitness Hall. Cosme’s private beach club is open all day, and more adventurous guests can make use of the resorts privately owned catamaran.
