The luxury travel company has introduced a fresh stable of handpicked villas in Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Kitts & Nevis and Saint Lucia.“On the back of incredible demand for private homes across Europe, for the first time, we are offering luxury villas in Barbados, expanding our award-winning portfolio to include some of the Caribbean’s most exclusive hideaways,” Abercrombie & Kent said.
Until now, Abercrombie & Kent Villas were offered in the UK/Europe (543 villas), the Indian Ocean (Maldives, Sri Lanka, Seychelles and Mauritius) and South Africa. A&K also offers over a dozen ‘Exclusive Villas & Retreats’ in Australia (six) and New Zealand (7).Commenting on its arrival in the Caribbean, A&K says on its website: “There are countless excellent hotels here. But to truly experience the region in style, treat yourself to the next tier of luxury: book a holiday villa in the Caribbean. “Our portfolio features only the very best properties dotting the region’s star destinations – from Jamaica and the Bahamas to St Lucia and Grenada.” Currently, there are 33 dwellings in the Abercrombie & Kent Villa collection in the Caribbean, ranging from three bedrooms all the way through to a 12-bedroom estate in Barbados, a mix of private estates or private villas adjoining luxury hotels & resorts such as Four Seasons.
Properties include the 22-guest Whispering Waters in Barbados, featuring 11 en-suited bedrooms, and withing 15 km of Holetown, Speightstown and Bridgetown. Or Jumby Bay Island, set on a 300-acre private island two miles off the coast of Antigua, that sleeps up to eight; and the nine-villa five-star Silversands Grenada retreat that lies along the white sands of Grand Anse beach.For most villa rentals, the arrival day is based on Saturday.Rates start at US$6,405 per week at the Mahogany Grove, up to US$136, 640 per week at Sandy Lane Estate.
