Emerald Cruises‘ Global Director of Brand and Marketing, UK-based David Winterton, has announced his departure from the brand and wider Scenic Group.Winterton had been with Emerald Cruises for nine years and was often the global voice for the premium cruise and land touring operator.“It still feels like only yesterday that we were on the quay in Amsterdam, christening the first ship,” Winterton said of the launch of Emerald Sky in 2014.

“It has been an honour to be part of building such a well loved cruise brand in both the UK and across the world. Helping it grow from two river ships, to nine river ships and two luxury yachts,” he wrote on LinkedIn last Friday.Winterton said he leaves the role with “time to reflect, spend much needed time with my loved one and see what new and exciting possibilities come my way”.
