Before it takes on its new identity, Star Voyager will undergo a US$50m renovation that will see it fitted with ship-within-a-ship luxury suite enclave The Palace which will feature 24-hour butler service as well as private amenities.

The 1,800-guest ship will take the Resorts World Cruises fleet to three when it joins the fleet and commences deployment from 26 March 2025, joining Genting Dream and Resorts World One.

Star Voyager will start off by exploring Southeast Asia until 21 July 2025 with Singapore as its main homeport, together with Jakarta, Melaka, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh city acting as “dual homeports”, with other popular destinations such as Medan, Pulau Redang and Ko Samui also featuring in its maiden program.

It’s not the first name change for the ship which was built in 1997 as Dawn Princess under Princess Cruises before being transferred to P&O Australia in 2017. Then, when Carnival Corporation decided to farewell the P&O Cruises Australia brand in early 2025, it confirmed Pacific Explorer would depart the fleet in February.
