Golden Eagle Luxury Trains has announced a four-day luxury tour extension to Cappadocia as an add-on to its Paris to Istanbul journey aboard the Danube Express.“When the journey concludes in Istanbul, guests can choose this new Cappadocia extension,” the company shared, describing the tour as an opportunity “to immerse you into Turkey’s most enchanting landscapes.”Crafted by the Golden Eagle team, the extension offers a seamless transition from rail to air, with flights from Istanbul to Kayseri, luxury transfers, and curated experiences throughout. This allows guests to seamlessly further explore this historically rich region, according to Golden Eagle.Highlights include a stay in a boutique cave hotel, where history meets contemporary luxury, and a guided tour through the UNESCO-listed Göreme Open-Air Museum which is home to frescoed rock churches. Adventurous guests can opt for a sunrise hot air balloon flight, drifting above fairy chimneys, while others may prefer exploring Devrent Valley, known as “the Valley of Imagination,” where wind-sculpted rock formations resemble animals and mythical figures.Guests will also taste exquisite regional cuisine and fine Cappadocian wines, explore ancient underground cities, and unwind in a traditional Turkish hammam. The extension is available for selected departures, including 11 September 2025, and as a pre-tour option on select Istanbul to Paris journeys. The Cappadocia tour extension is priced from US$3,700 per person, twin share.
