United Airlines will enhance its international flying experience with the introduction of its new “United Elevated” interior, debuting on upcoming Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. This redesigned experience aims to raise the bar for premium air travel among US carriers, with its blend of expanded luxury amenities and cutting-edge technology. The star of the show is the United Polaris Studio suite — a new tier of business class that features eight lie-flat, all-aisle-access seats that are 25% larger than standard United Polaris and come with sliding privacy doors, companion seating, and exclusive amenities. Each suite boasts the largest seatback screen in the US sky – a 27-inch, 4K OLED touchscreen. Guests will also enjoy an Ossetra caviar amuse-bouche service, luxury Perricone MD skincare products, Saks Fifth Avenue bedding, and exclusive hoodie-pajamas and slippers on all flights.United’s EVP and Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Nocella highlighted the significance of the redesign. “We already deliver a superior international experience… these new innovations provide a more premium experience overall, give customers even more reasons to choose United, and set our airline up to grow into the next decade and beyond,” he said.Beyond Polaris Studio, the entire cabin layout has been reimagined. The aircraft will feature 99 premium seats — the most of any United widebody — including 56 upgraded United Polaris business class suites, 35 United Premium Plus seats, as well as enhanced United Economy and Economy Plus offerings.

Food and beverage are also getting a luxury boost. The airline is rolling out a mid-flight tapas service, a grab-and-go snack bar, and Champagne Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé paired with caviar in Polaris Studio. United has invested more than US$150 million in culinary improvements this year.Looking ahead, United plans to debut the first Elevated-equipped 787-9s on routes from San Francisco to Singapore and London in 2026, with around 30 more joining the fleet by 2027.“We never stand still,” said Nocella. “And we’re confident this elevated experience will take international flying to new heights.”
