The National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Travel Advisory Board has welcomed Luxury Travel Collection (LTC) Global Product Director Shannon Fogarty as its representative for the Oceania region.Fogarty’s deep understanding of the luxury travel market and regional expertise were cited as the reasons for her appointment, underscoring her prominent standing in the industry.Established in 2016 to coincide with Lindblad Expeditions’ 50th anniversary, the board plays a critical role in shaping the company’s strategic direction. Members contribute insights on expedition development, marketing initiatives, guest experiences, and market trends.Fogarty described her appointment as an honour. “At the heart of this opportunity is a shared commitment to purposeful, transformative travel – values LTC hold closely,” she said. “It’s a privilege to contribute my insights to such a respected and pioneering organisation.”She highlighted the values shared by LTC and Lindblad Expeditions, particularly their mutual dedication to responsible travel. “One of the qualities I’ve long admired about Adventure World and Lindblad is their steadfast dedication to responsible travel,” she said.“They, like LTC, understand that true luxury is not only authentic and bespoke to each traveller, but must also enrich both the guest and the world they touch.”Neil Rodgers, Managing Director of Adventure World, the Australian GSA for Lindblad Expeditions, expressed strong support for Fogarty’s selection. “Shannon’s comprehensive grasp of the intricacies within the luxury market will make her an exceptional ambassador, particularly for the Oceania. We are incredibly excited about the positive impact she will bring to this role,” he said.Over her three-year term, Fogarty will serve as an ambassador for National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions, offering feedback on pricing strategies, promotional initiatives, and guest experiences. She will also contribute ethical insights on market conditions and support ad-hoc discussions across the business.
