MSC Cruises has announced the year-round deployment of MSC Opera in the South Caribbean for the Winter 2026/27 and Summer 2027 seasons, marking the first time the cruise line has deployed a ship in the area during the summer season, and also its first time offering two ships during a winter season.Sales are now open for the new itineraries, which aim to provide guests with “even more options to discover this stunning region’s captivating destinations year-round.” Voyages include seven-night cruises, or travellers can combine two itineraries for a 14-night “butterfly” cruise. Ports of call include the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe, British Virgin Islands, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda as well as the Netherlands Antilles.MSC Opera will homeport in La Romana, Dominican Republic, with its first departure on 16 November 2026. Beginning in April 2027, Fort-de-France in Martinique, will also serve as a second embarkation point.

Highlights will include La Romana, described as offering a “perfect blend of relaxation, rich culture and natural beauty,” and Catalina Island, with its “crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs and white sandy beaches.” Other standout destinations include Virgin Gorda with its world-famous baths, and St. John’s, described as the gateway to some of the Caribbean’s most beautiful beaches.MSC Opera will visit 10 additional destinations including Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Grenada, and Saint Kitts and Nevis. The ship will be joined by MSC Seaview for the Winter 26/27 season, which will continue sailing seven-night itineraries from Fort-de-France.
