The W Hotels brand will arrive on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia with the opening of W Sardinia – Poltu Quatu in August.Located on the north-east coastline of the island, the 154-key hotel will overlook the Marina dell’Orso. It will feature a mix of rooms and suites, TANIT seafood restaurant, a beach club accessible exclusively by boat, signature W Lounge, poolside WET Deck, AWAY Spa and FIT Fitness centre.“The sophisticated design, with its pastel natural colours and handcrafted wood and stone elements, is inspired by the locale, bringing to life the rich history of the island, reimagined with a modern and bold twist,” a statement said.The village of Poltu Quatu is set between Porto Cervo and Baia Sardinia, opposite the pristine archipelago of La Maddalena. The picturesque white village is nestled within a natural fjord and surrounded by granite rocks shaped by the wind, lush landscape and crystal-clear water.The project is a collaboration with asset management company Castello Sgr, controlled by Anima Group.
