Fiji Airways‘ joint launch of a new Pacific Rim-inspired menu and a Dine on Demand service for Business Class passengers aims to bring the feel of a fine dining restaurant to its onboard experience. At the heart of the transformation is the Dine on Demand concept, a first for the airline, now available on select long-haul flights. This tailored experience allows guests to order their meals at any time during the flight, mirroring the flexibility of fine dining.“Fijian hospitality is at the heart of what we do. This next chapter elevates that promise,” said Andre Viljoen, CEO and Managing Director of Fiji Airways.“With the initial introduction of our new Pacific Rim menu and on-demand dining, we’re delivering a fine-dining restaurant-quality experience in the sky – one that is authentically Fijian, thoughtfully crafted, and aligned with the evolving needs of today’s traveller.”

The new Business Class menu draws inspiration from Fiji’s geographic and cultural ties to Asia, Oceania, and North America. Designed to reflect both local heritage and international sophistication, it features bold, fresh flavours and sustainably sourced ingredients.Signature dishes include: Grilled Mahi Mahi with Prawn Chilli Oil, served with corn coriander cake and lime marmalade; Hamachi Crudo with Octopus and Ponzu, topped with Fijian sea grapes (nama); Fijian Chicken Curry, simmered in coconut and steeped in Indo-Fijian tradition; Roasted Cauliflower with Pacific Greens, a plant-based option with garlic cream; Salted Chocolate Crème with pistachio and caramelised banana; and Kumquat Cheesecake for a citrusy finale.Meals are freshly finished and plated onboard, with cabin crew trained in culinary service and wine pairing. Each Business Class table is dressed with bone china, crisp white linen, and a handcrafted Vau flower – a tribute to Fijian artisanship.Complementing the food is a refined beverage offering: cold-pressed juices made in Fiji, an expanded wine list featuring labels from New Zealand, Australia, and California, and signature cocktails and mocktails crafted with Blue Turtle Gin Fiji and Bati Rum.“These enhancements reflect strategic investments in food, beverage, service training, and sustainable sourcing,” said Viljoen. “We’re bringing Fijian happiness into every journey.”The upgraded premium experience will be fully rolled out across the network by July 2026.
