Located between Lisbon’s Avenida da Liberdade and the historic Marquês de Pombal, ME Lisbon marks the arrival of ME by Meliá in Portugal.
Art and Design
The new-build was envisioned by the João Paciência studio, with interiors by Broadway Malyan. The aesthetic is elevated by a collection of contemporary Portuguese art, complete with works by Fernanda Fragateiro, Sunny Silva, René Cruz Tavares and others. Throughout the space, guests will find jacaranda-inspired lilacs, sculptural ceramics, and immersive video installations.Select rooms and suites (of 213 total accommodations) will offer vistas over Eduardo VII Park to the São Jorge Castle and the Tagus River. All rooms, however, will have a curated vinyl selection. The top accommodation is the Ultimate ME+ Suite, offering 107 square meters of space, not to mention exclusive ME+ services.
Guests and locals alike can take advantage of ME Lisbon’s social calendar that celebrates art, music, fashion and innovation. Partnerships already in the works include such events as ARCO Lisboa and Lisbon Design Week. These events—and others—will take place in the six-metre-high lobby and rooftop terrace.
