This month will see the launch of Noema, a new boutique luxury hotel in Pererenan, Bali that has been designed to be a “home away from home for curious minds”.Positioned just outside Canggu, the JHL Collection hotel will officially open on 22 August. The 157-room property includes private rooftop suites and a luxurious three-bedroom penthouse. Designed with wellness in mind, the resort offers swimming pools, fitness centers, and Bali’s first luxury Korean scrub spa — Oori Concept Spa. Sitting atop the property, Oori features full-body treatments, infrared saunas, cold plunges, and natural, locally sourced ingredients.Moving away from the island’s party-centric image of the island, Noema redefines the Bali retreat by focusing on reconnection and creativity, according to JHL Collection Corporate Director of Marketing Kay Tadjoedin.“This is a place where we want surfers, families, digital nomads, culture seekers and dreamers to feel at home yet relaxed while simultaneously experiencing the rhythm and richness of Bali,” she said.

“It’s with that thinking in mind that every corner of the hotel has been designed – to purposefully foster creativity, connection and calm.”Guests will also find a trio of unique dining destinations: Paparempa, which pays tribute to Indonesian culinary heritage; Mamaloma, a relaxed, poolside Asian-fusion restaurant; and Menika Rooftop, a scenic venue for yoga at sunrise and elegant dinners at sunset.Noema places a strong emphasis on creativity and community, with installations by artists Iwan Yusuf, Sekar Puti, and Kanoko Takaya, and family-friendly amenities including the Noema Hoola Play — a three-storey playground inspired by mythical creatures. To celebrate its launch, Noema will host a three-day festival from 22 to 24 August, featuring workshops, wellness sessions, and culinary and cultural experiences — an event that will become an annual celebration of the Pererenan spirit.
