A fresh collaboration between Air France and chef mixologist Matthias Giroud will see three new signature cocktails served exclusively in the airline’s La Première cabin.Drawing inspiration from Air France’s core values of “elegance, pleasure and respect”, Giroud has crafted the collection using French ingredients.Of the three signature cocktails, one is with alcohol, one with low alcohol content and the final one is an alcohol-free option – a first for Air France.“It’s an honour for me to have been chosen to create this first exclusive collection of La Première signature cocktails,” Giroud said. “Air France embodies the excellence of French expertise and elegance, taking gastronomy to the four corners of the world. A world of travel that has always inspired me to create unique cocktail experiences.”
Belle Époque is a “bitter and zesty” alcoholic cocktail that reinterprets the Negroni with orange hydrosol; Parfum de France is a sweet and fruity low-alcohol cocktail, inspired by the Chardonnay and Muscat varietals of wine with raspberry liqueur and a hint of verbena; and L’Éveil is a tangy and spicy alcohol-free cocktail, made from cranberry juice infused with mint, lime juice, aromatic leaf bouquet and ginger.Presented in a custom-made box, each cocktail is served in-flight by the crew in a glass especially designed to “enhance the tasting experience”.This cocktail collection complements the menu on offer in the La Première cabin, devised by triple Michelin-starred chef Arnaud Lallement and World Pastry Chef and Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Angelo Musa. A selection of French wines, champagnes, beers and spirits is chosen by Air France’s Sommelier, Xavier Thuizat, who is also Head Sommelier of the Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel and Meilleur Sommelier de France 2022.
