A major update to Aurora Expeditions‘ Antarctica booking policy means that travel advisors can now price voyages in six major currencies, including Australian dollars, in a bid to enhance booking flexibility and sales confidence for trade partners and clients around the globe.Previously, all Antarctica voyages were priced exclusively in US dollars. The six currencies now include: USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, AUD and NZD.“We’re committed to making it easier and more rewarding for our trade partners to sell our Antarctica program,” said David Tanguay, Global Head of Sales at Aurora Expeditions. “This change empowers agents to offer pricing consistency, greater transparency, and a more seamless booking experience for their clients.”

With this new policy, travel advisors can now offer pricing in the local currency based on their agency’s registered location for trade bookings or the passenger’s country of residence for direct bookings. The exchange rate is locked in at the time of booking, applying to both the deposit and final payment, thereby eliminating uncertainty due to currency fluctuations. This initiative underscores the company’s continued dedication to supporting the global travel trade with enhanced tools and policies. By providing locked-in pricing and eliminating currency risk, the update builds confidence among travellers and simplifies the selling process for agents, Tanguay explained.“This change is not just about currency options,” he added. “It’s about empowering our partners to grow their business with us and giving their clients the clarity they need when making a significant travel investment.”
