IC Bellagio, Italy’s leading Destination Management Company for bespoke, meaningful travel experiences, has unveiled a new docuseries – titled ‘Andrea Grisdale’s Italian Routes’ – that explores the heart of Italy through the voices of those who live it every day. This first series – set entirely in the Dolomites – marks the beginning of an ambitious storytelling journey that will unfold across multiple regions in the coming months. Each chapter will uncover new places, people, and perspectives, continuing to reflect on the richness and diversity of Italy beyond the well-trodden paths.Guided by Andrea Grisdale, Founder and CEO of IC Bellagio, the series is both a personal journey and a professional reflection. With over 25 years at the forefront of luxury travel, Grisdale sets out to reconnect with the Italy she has dedicated her life to sharing – seeking out authentic encounters, learning from local communities, and deepening her commitment to thoughtful, values-driven travel.
“All roads don’t lead to Rome – they lead to the Italian people. After more than 25 years of sharing Italy with others, I realised I wanted to see it again through new eyes – not with a checklist or itinerary, but guided by the people who bring it to life every single day.
“This series is my way of listening more deeply and reconnecting with the places and, importantly, individuals that shape our country’s identity.
“For me, travel has always been about the people and about relationships – not simply with landscapes and locations, but with the stories, traditions, and values carried by those who call those places home.”
“Italian Routes is a journey of learning, reflection, and personal gratitude, and I hope it reminds others, as it has reminded me, that the true magic of travel is found not just in the destinations you explore, but in the connections you make too,” Grisdale said.Italian Routes is more than a documentary. It is a tribute to the Italy that lives through its people: a celebration of tradition, craftsmanship, hospitality, and community spirit. Through intimate conversations with artisans, chefs, hoteliers, farmers and storytellers, the series offers a human-centred portrait of a country defined by its culture of welcome. The Dolomites series consists of four episodes and shines a light on themes close to IC Bellagio’s ethos: social sustainability, seasonality, heritage preservation, and soulful hospitality. From mountaintop cooking classes to quiet village piazzas, viewers are invited to travel with intention and curiosity – rediscovering Italy through the values that matter most.
Blending cinematic visuals with meaningful storytelling, Italian Routes highlights best-in-class properties and passionate individuals who embody IC Bellagio’s belief in transformational travel. The first episode launches on Wednesday 20 August 2025 across IC Bellagio’s official channels, website, YouTube and Vimeo.
