With the launch of its new series of “Quick Getaways”, Windstar Cruises is tapping into growing demand for shorter itineraries but with the same relaxed feel as its signature product. The new series of compact three- to five-night European sailings will debut in northern hemisphere spring 2026. Designed for travellers short on time but high on wanderlust, these shorter cruises promise a mix of iconic cities and lesser known destinations – all aligned with Windstar’s yacht-style of cruising.“These new sailings are designed for spontaneity and simplicity,” Windstar Cruises Director of Itinerary Planning Jess Peterson said. “They’re the perfect way to experience the Windstar style of travel, especially if you’re already travelling for work or play in Europe.”With five new itineraries and nine departure dates, the “Quick Getaways” offer access to destinations most cruise lines can’t reach, with experiences like sailing beneath London landmark Tower Bridge or sipping wine in the sun-drenched village of Collioure.Subscribe to LATTE Cruise’s free eNewsletter to keep up to date with everything in the luxury cruise space. The itineraries include: A Taste of Southern France, three nights from $2,136 per person, departing 11 June 2026 aboard Wind Surf; La Dolce Vita in Italy & France, three nights from $1,852 per person, departing 31 May 2026; Belgium: A Sweet Getaway, three nights from $2,490 per person, departing 12 or 19 May 2026 aboard Star Pride; St. Malo Getaway, four nights from $3,236 per person, departing 16 May 2026.The shorter trips allow Australian travellers to fit a cruise into their broader European holiday plans.
