Australian cruise virtuoso, Nicole Costantin, has reassumed her regional leadership position solely with Explora Journeys, LATTE can reveal.Last November, a shake-up of top level local roles at Explora Journeys’ sister brand, MSC Cruises, saw the departure of Lisa Teiotu as Managing Director in the region, as reported exclusively by LATTE. At that time, Costantin’s role with Explora Journeys was expanded to encompass MSC Group’s contemporary cruise brand. A few months later, Costantin was officially named Head of Sales for MSC Cruises ANZ, alongside her anchor role of Head of Sales, APAC for Explora Journeys, which she took on in June 2022.
After seven months in the dual role, LATTE can confirm that MSC Group are now recruiting for an Australia-based Managing Director for both Explora Journeys and MSC Cruises, as Costantin reoccupies her sole commitment to the ultra-luxury cruise brand.According to the job description posted online by Explora Journeys, the new Sydney-based position will see the successful applicant “working closely with the Explora Journeys Head of Sales and MSC Commercial Team.”“This key leadership role involves managing the commercial team, identifying and unlocking new business development opportunities, and ensuring operational excellence across all functions.”Applicants require a minimum of 10 years experience in a “similar role in the luxury cruise, travel, or hospitality industries.” They must also possess an “excellent sales network or well-known contact base” as well as “strong leadership and team management skills”.“I am delighted to welcome this new role into the MSC Cruise Division,” Costantin told LATTE.
“The newly created Managing Director position will provide the leadership needed to drive growth for both brands in our market. It also enables me to fully focus on Explora Journeys – a luxury brand that deserves dedicated attention as it continues through this exciting period of exponential growth.”
Costantin confirmed she will be assisting with the recruitment process for the MD role and is “looking forward to expanding our talented team”.
