Dubai-based hospitality firm JA Resorts & Hotels has significantly expanded its international portfolio with the addition of two historic Scottish properties: Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort, located just outside Glasgow, and The Bruntsfield, a boutique townhouse hotel in central Edinburgh. This move marks the Dubai-based hospitality group’s first foray into the UK market and aligns with its repositioning as a “globally minded, destination-led, experience-focused hospitality group.”Both properties were selected for their “strong heritage and deep connection to their Scottish settings”, with JA Resorts & Hotels CEO Ralph Porciani explaining the acquisitions reflect global confidence in the Scottish market.“We look forward to preserving the unique history and character of these heritage hotels, whilst implementing JA’s global brand standards and service philosophy,” he said. The acquisitions, backed by parent company Dutco Group, represent a strategic milestone in the brand’s growth journey. “Our journey as a brand has been both dynamic and deeply personal,” Dutco Group Chairman Ahmed Baker said. “As a homegrown brand rooted in Dubai’s hospitality heritage, it is especially meaningful to see our growth extend internationally in ways that remain true to who we are.”
